How to Download Thumbnails
ThumbGrab offers multiple ways to save thumbnails depending on your needs.
Direct Download
The simplest method:
- Extract a thumbnail from a YouTube URL
- Find the resolution you want
- Click the Download button
The image will download directly to your computer as a JPG file.
Copy to Clipboard
For quick sharing or pasting into other apps:
- Click on any thumbnail image
- The image URL is copied to your clipboard
- Paste it wherever you need it
Right-Click Save
You can also right-click on any thumbnail and select "Save image as..." to save it with a custom filename.
Bulk Download (Pro)
Pro users can download multiple thumbnails at once:
- Go to Bulk Extraction
- Enter up to 50 YouTube URLs
- Click Extract All
- Click Download All to save all successful extractions

File Format
All thumbnails are downloaded as JPG files. YouTube stores thumbnails in JPG format, so this provides the original quality without any conversion loss.
Naming Convention
Downloaded files are named: thumbnail-[VIDEO_ID]-[RESOLUTION].jpg
For example: thumbnail-dQw4w9WgXcQ-maxresdefault.jpg
